Prof Paula Varela
Alongside her role at Nofima, Paula is also Professor at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. She has authored more than 150 scientific articles, various books and has been ranked among the top 2% most cited researchers in the Food Science area, by Stanford University. She is the current Chair of the European Sensory Science Society. Her interests include methodological aspects of research with special populations (children, elderly), societal issues related to food behaviour, and how to support consumers’ transition to healthier and more sustainable diets.
