Initially educated as a registered dietitian, Kerensa delved into stem cell biology, organoid biology, protein biochemistry, and food protein modifi-cations during her PhD and postdoctoral roles. In 2011, Kerensa be-came an associate professor at the University of Twente, leading a team exploring stem cell biology to generate mini organs resembling intestine, brain, and heart tissue. Despite the varied path, her current role at NI-ZO's Advanced Analytics team seamlessly integrates her expertise. Guiding projects on in vitro digestion, protein transition, and bioactives analytics fulfills Kerensa’s passion for overseeing cross-disciplinary pro-jects with academic and translational aspects.
