Alan Iván Ramos

Alan is an environmentalist, plant-based activist and social entrepreneur. Originally Mexican, Alan grew up mostly in the United States before moving to Taiwan after receiving his undergraduate degree in Latin American Philosophy. In 2019, he moved from Asia to Berlin to join the world's leading alternative protein startup incubator, ProVeg Incubator to fulfill his personal mission to reverse climate change through food. After almost two years at the Incubator, he founded Libre Foods in 2021 to solve some of the most pressing problems in our current food system by developing a line of whole-cut meats using fungi and fermentation.
